הדלקת נרות שבת

הדלקת נרות שבת נחשבת ביהדות לרגע בו ניצבת האם והרעיה לפני הבורא ומבקשת ממנו על היקרים לה מכל.
בחרתי להקיף את הברכה באיור של ירושלים, משום שכשם שבזמן החופה אנו זוכרים את ירושלים, כך גם ברגעים הללו עלינו לזכרה על לוח לבנו ולהתפלל לבניינה הצבעים נבחרו בקפידה מתוך שאיפה לשלב את הצער על חורבנה עם התקווה לבניינה.

Lighting the Sabbath candles is considered in Judaism as the moment when the mother & wife stands before the Creator and ask his blessings for her dearest of all.
I chose to embrace the blessing in the description of Jerusalem, because as when we remember Jerusalem during the canopy, so too in these moments should we remem-ber Jerusalem on our heart plaque and pray for it building.
The colors were carefully chosen with the aim of combining the grief of its destruction with the hope of building it.
